GoMidwife Terms of Use
Welcome to GoMidwife. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your purchase of and access to our online educational courses, including the NARM Exam Preparation Course, as well as any future online courses, digital products, and educational resources offered by GoMidwife ("Courses").
By purchasing, accessing, or using our Courses, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Educational Purpose
Our Courses are designed solely for educational purposes. While we strive to provide accurate and current information, participation in a Course does not guarantee success on the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) examination or any other licensing or certification examination.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to purchase and use our Courses.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to:
Keep your username and password confidential.
Notify GoMidwife promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Accept responsibility for all activity occurring under your account.
Each course enrollment is intended for one individual only. Sharing accounts or allowing another individual to access your enrollment is strictly prohibited.
4. Personal License
Upon purchase, GoMidwife grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Course solely for your own personal educational use.
This license does not transfer ownership of any Course materials or intellectual property.
5. Intellectual Property
All Course content, including but not limited to:
Videos
Recorded lectures
Practice examinations
Question banks
Quiz questions
Answer explanations
Study guides
Lesson content
Text
Graphics
Logos
Images
Downloadable materials
Audio recordings
Course organization
Educational methodologies
Curriculum design
Written content
Supplemental resources
is owned by GoMidwife or its licensors and is protected by United States copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing contained in these Terms grants you ownership of any intellectual property.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree that you will not:
Share your username or password.
Allow another individual to access your account.
Copy, reproduce, or distribute Course materials.
Upload Course materials to websites, forums, cloud storage, social media, or file-sharing platforms.
Record, photograph, livestream, or otherwise capture Course videos or audio.
Systematically screenshot Course materials.
Download Course materials except where expressly permitted.
Sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise distribute any Course content.
Create derivative works based upon the Course.
Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another individual.
Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any technological protection measures used to secure the Course.
Artificial Intelligence Restrictions
Because GoMidwife's educational content represents substantial original intellectual property, you also agree that you will not:
Use any Course content to train, fine-tune, improve, or develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning model.
Upload Course materials into generative AI systems for the purpose of reproducing, summarizing, analyzing, rewriting, or generating competing educational content.
Use automated software, bots, scraping tools, browser extensions, or artificial intelligence systems to copy, extract, index, harvest, or reproduce Course content.
Create or assist in creating competing question banks, study guides, examination preparation products, or educational resources using any portion of the Course.
Incorporate Course materials into any database, knowledge base, retrieval system, or AI-assisted application intended for commercial or public use.
Reasonable personal use of AI tools (such as asking an AI assistant to help explain a concept after you have independently learned it) is not prohibited. However, uploading substantial portions of Course content or using Course materials to build, train, or improve AI systems or competing educational products is strictly prohibited.
Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of Course access without refund and may subject the offending individual to civil legal action.
7. Course Access
Course access begins after successful payment unless otherwise stated.
The duration of access is described on the Course enrollment page and may differ between Courses.
GoMidwife reserves the right to update, improve, reorganize, or modify Course content while maintaining the educational objectives of the Course.
8. Payments
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be successfully processed before Course access is granted.
Payments are securely processed through authorized third-party payment processors. GoMidwife does not store complete credit card information.
9. Refund Policy
Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy applicable to the Course purchased.
By enrolling, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and understand the applicable Refund Policy.
10. No Guarantee of Results
Every student's educational background, study habits, and testing ability are different.
Accordingly, GoMidwife makes no guarantee regarding:
Passing the NARM examination
Certification
Licensure
Employment
Academic performance
Professional advancement
Success depends upon numerous factors outside the control of GoMidwife.
11. Disclaimer of Professional Advice
Course materials are provided solely for educational purposes.
Nothing contained within any Course constitutes legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
Students remain solely responsible for meeting all licensing requirements, certification standards, educational requirements, and applicable laws governing their profession.
12. Termination
GoMidwife reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any Course immediately if a student:
Violates these Terms;
Shares Course materials without authorization;
Uses the Course in a fraudulent manner;
Attempts to copy or redistribute Course content;
Violates the Artificial Intelligence Restrictions;
Interferes with the security or operation of the learning platform; or
Engages in conduct that harms GoMidwife, its instructors, or other students.
Termination under this section may occur without refund.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoMidwife, its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Courses.
GoMidwife's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by the student for the applicable Course.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Gallatin County, Montana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Changes to These Terms
GoMidwife reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms become effective upon posting with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the Courses after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
